wishes and daydreams

hestiaswitch:

I used to struggle with nightmares and night terrors, but these are some things that helped me (note: if they are really bad you should see a doctor).

  • Wash your bedding regularly. Nightmares make you sweat and just it being there from a previous night can trigger more nightmares. I can not stress enough how much clean sheets helps.
  • If you have a nightmare in the middle of the night, flip your pillow over before you go back to sleep to avoid having it again that night.
  • Open your window at least a tiny bit during the day to let in fresh air.
  • Make a small spray bottle with water and essential oils in it (especially lavender) to spray around where you sleep before going to bed.
  • Put a large piece of amethyst on your nightstand for a good sleep.
  • Tidy your room! Really- clutter and laundry on the floor can create bad energy which gets into your subconscious mind and triggers nightmares.
  • Shower before getting into bed if you can (you’ll want to with clean sheets) or at least have a good bedtime routine.
  • A note about dreamcatchers: You need to be very respectful if you choose to use one since these are from Native American culture. I recommend buying one directly from a shop run by someone of that background and reading up on their history.
  • Sweet dreams!!!

lovely you

Our bones become one with life
only to be parted
prematurely,
thrashing around,
reaching for each other,
unable to grasp
anything.

The cancer of time
is eating us away
and we are no match
for the dangerous games we play,
which will surely send us toward the prison of death
and we will be there
evermore.
