ā€œHe didn’t seem to understand that the people of Eddis had very little to do all winter beyond develop superior artisan skills and train for war.ā€ —The Queen of Attolia

So basically what that means is that the Eddisians are completely covered in embroidery at all times…?

(I will not be accepting counter-arguments unless you have some compelling reason why they might be completely covered in lace instead. šŸ˜‚)

EDITED TO ADD:

@outpastthemoat suggested crochet, so I amend myself— everything not covered in embroidery is made of crochet.

Headcanon absolutely accepted. Also consider: Eugenides swapping his hook hand for a crochet hook.

I am absolutely kicking myself for not thinking of this. It would be difficult to actually use, but all of the expense and effort of having it custom-made would be worthwhile just for the looks on people’s faces the first time they saw it.

Okay, but consider: the one superior artisan skill that we know an Eddisian has is Eugenides’ brother Stenides being a master clockmaker. So now I’m picturing the Eddisians being kitted out with full Steampunk Aesthetic at all times–corsets, top hats, goggles, everything covered with gears–and in the meantime the Attolians and Sounisians are swanning around in their renaissance/neo-classical fusion styles shaking their heads about the uncivilized mountain people.

Yahoo Finance confirms that the FAA has approved Amazon for drone delivery testing. According to the FAA, it has “issued a Special Airworthiness Certificate to Amazon Prime Air allowing the company to operate its MK27 unmanned aircraft for research and development and crew training in authorized flight areas. Amazon Prime Air plans to use the aircraft to establish a package delivery operation in the United States.” Amazon says it will be able to deliver packages ‘within months’.
